The Boogieman Band is comprised of veteran musicians from across the USA and their sound is a blend of styles as diverse as 'Jimmy Reed' to 'Albert King' and 'Little Richard' to 'Ray Charles'!
As you will hear there are far too many influences to pinpoint them all! They have several self produced CDs and anew once to be released in April!

Since 1989 the Band has shared the bill with many Music Industry Icons including:

John Earl – Vocals, Blues Harp, Guitar and Percussion!

Born in Lubbock,Texas and raised on the Blues and it's Baby, "Rock & Roll"!
Influenced by 'WOLFMAN JACK' and other Rebel AM radio personalities listening to the music of:

* 'Jimmy Reed' / 'Howlin' Wolf / 'Muddy Waters' / 'Chuck Berry / 'John Lee Hooker /
* 'Elmore James / * 'Leadbelly, and many others!

John started singing in local Combos in Highschool until joining the military at 17.
While on active duty he jammed in the NCO & Officers Clubs on weekends.
Upon returning to civilian life he toured the USA dancehall circuits across 32 states North & South, East & West from '65 till '73.
He and his band opened and played alongside such notables as;

* 'Little Walter' / 'Lightning Hopkins / 'Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels' / 'The Five Americans' /
* '13th Floor Elevators' / 'Roy Head' / 'Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs' / 'Johnny Winters'
* Jimmy Vaughan' / 'Gary Nicholson'...and the list grew!

John eventually went to Amsterdam, NL. with his band to play the Summer of 1974. He liked it so much he spent 12 years living there playing around the Netherlands, England, Belgium & Germany for several years with the USO & NATO and a few band members from Texas plus some multi-talented International musicians! John returned to the USA & Las Vegas where he formed 'The Boogieman Band' in 1988

Junior Brantley - Vocals & ALL THINGS KEYBOARD including Keyboard Bass.

A premier blues piano stylist and Milwaukee, WI native.
Junior first played piano with "Sonny Boy" Williamson as the replacement for a pianist that failed to show up one night. Then after a short stint as a band called Junior & the Classics, and record deals with RCA, & Magic Touch Records, he went to play with a very good blues Band called "Short Stuff' which released 2 Albums, and a hand full of 45s."
In 1993, after a period of playing piano with Leroy Airmaster, Junior Brantley joined "The Fabulous Thunderbirds"and was awarded a Gold Album! He toured the world with the "Hit" recording "Tough Enough". Junior was then recruited by the Thunderbirds' Texas blues guitar hero Jimmy Vaughan, to join The Jimmy Vaughan Band. He appears on the 1994 Sony/Epic release Strange Pleasure.
From there he became the keyboard player for "Roomful of Blues", and appeared in two motion pictures, where they were nominated for three Grammies, and toured more of the world.
Junior began playing with the Boogieman Band in 1996.

Mike Vaughan - Vocals, Lead & Slide Guitar

When you say Bluesman, Mike Vaughan personifies that title. Upon arrival to Las Vegas in 1989 Mike immediately went to work with a local Las Vegas entertainer by the name of Pat Guidrey aka The Mocking Bird of Soul. He performed nightly for 3 yrs @ the MGM Grand. At the same time mike began to check out the local blues scene knowing that many blues artists as in BB King & company were also living in the city. He started to make a name for himself in those circles with Legendary Locals Huck Daniels, Bobby Jonz, John Earle & Billy Ray Charles just to name a few. He quickly became a fixture in Las Vegas Blues scene as the go to guy for Blues dates thru out the city. Mike's talents are not only recognized in the Blues field, he's also known for his Rock & R&B chops and was eventually called by one of the biggest mainstays in Las Vegas history. Sweet Louis & Sonny Charles The Checkmates. Their legendary performances from 1964 to 2008 in the lounges were a sight to be held. Mike joined the Checkmates & never looked back. Spending 10 yrs 98 to 08 cementing his own persona in the minds of countless locals & tourists from around the world.

Kirk Arthur - Drums & Percussion

Trained in symphonic, big band, R&B as well as all forms of Rock and Roll. Kirk has recorded or performed with Chuck Berry, Air Supply, Stevie Nicks / Christine McVie, Del Shannon, Arthur Adams, Ben E. King, Michael Winslow, Peter Noone, Gary "US" Bonds and many more. Kirk also has many TV credits to his name such as The Merv Griffin Show, Solid Gold, Jerry Lewis Telethon, LA Rams Halftime Show, NASCAR's 50th Anniversary on ESPN, Rock All Night Long on PBS, Blast to the Past (FOX). Kirk has also played in musicals, plays and movie themes (Rollerball, Jukebox, Joysticks, Santa Barbara, Skateboard Kid(.

'Stevie D' (aka. Steve Dummer) - Piano, Organ & Keyboard Bass

Stevie D has been a professional keyboard player for 45 years. A native Californian he started  recording projects and performing in local venues in Los Angeles and Orange County. In the mid seventies his first break was hookin up  with Gino Vanelli and did an extensive tour. From 82 to 84 he also toured with the Righteous Bros.  In 1991 Stevie relocated to Las Vegas and began playin the strip Hotels. He spent 9 years on the Vegas road circuit with the Huck Daniels Revue through out the state of Nevada. In 1998 he joined Sweet Louie & Sonny Charles The Checkmates as Musical Director & was inducted into the Las Vegas Hall of Fame in 2001. He played 10yrs with the Checkmates. Currently he's workin on and off the strip in Las Vegas.
